The emerging short film festival Braunschweig Filmt (BS Filmt) hosted a city-wide open call for creators of all levels to submit films telling their story, presenting favorite locations, intimate moments and spots of personal interest. More than 60 films from various creators have been submitted and shown during the event. The presentation took place at the purpose-built 'Architekturpavillon' open-air theatre stage at the Burgplatz in Braunschweig. As part of the collaborative film screening for Braunschweig Filmt, I presented the short films 'Night Eye', 'Für Lena' (starring Lena Gudi) and 'Objects in the Rear View Mirror may appear closer than they are' (starring Yeva Sim). Stills of the 3 short films are shown in the photos below.
Braunschweig Filmt was organized and curated by Søren Berg (initiator, project-lead, curator) and Juan Penalver Madrid (live-music, 'Open Sound Studio'-lead). Further organizational and financial backing was provided by several members of the Braunschweig city planning team, specifically Jennifer Bork (administration of cultural affairs). In my role as Art Director I produced advertisement content, supported emerging creators through audio- and video collaborations and aided the BSFilmt team through the utilization of the submitted material.
