Phantoms - UPCOMING 18.12.25 (Germany)
OPENING 18.12.2025 - 19:00/7pm Photographs from 'Nomansland', 'Vietnam' and other, previously unseen images Blauwal Art&Culture Center, Hagenring 90 Braunschweig, Germany 2025/2026
After his studies of photography as well as exhibiting in seven European and Asian countries, Tobias Ahlbrecht is presenting works from the series Nomansland as well as new, previously unpublished works in Braunschweig for the first time. Under the title PHANTOMS, he devotes himself to the hidden layers of human identity - inner worlds, psychological states, and personal forms of expression are the focus. The portraits cast a striking look at the field of tension between individuality and social norms: “I have realized how valuable it is to show people and places as they really are, rather than how they stage themselves.” The exhibition will take place on 18 December at 7:00 PM at Blau-Wal (Hagenring 90, Braunschweig) and will be accompanied by piano music.
