After almost 10 years abroad and the creation of an extensive body of work regarding the Nomansland- and ONE-project, PHANTOMS celebrates an artistic 'homecoming' to my home region of northern Germany. Phantoms seeks to capture the fleeting connection between two entities; a person with a place or another person - and the remanants, the phantom that remains of these connections. To me, any images I take represent a form of self-portrait; seeing myself in others; and them reflecting themselves through me and my photography.
